Leisure signs with Cyclone

Clear Lake senior Ryan Leisure made it official last week.  The two-time State Champion signed a National Letter of Intent to wrestle for Iowa State University.  Leisure, who has a chance to become the school’s first three-time State champion, is expected to wrestle at 145-pounds this season.  He is currently ranked 18th nationally at the weight class, according to Intermat. After going 45-1 the past two seasons, Leisure has a career record of 131-6.  At his signing, Leisure said he was impressed with ISU’s facilities and coaching staff.  Leisure is pictured at the signing with (L-R) former CLHS Head Wrestling Coach Gary Weber (left), his sister, Mallory, father and mother Tom and Jill Leisure, and current Head Wrestling Coach Mike Lester.-Reporter photo.
