Awards given at Clear Lake Football Banquet

The Clear Lake football program capped its season with a banquet.  Head Coach Jared DeVries said educator, coach and public speaker Aaron Thomas, from Parkersburg, Iowa capped it off with a tremendous message for his players— take advantage of opportunities and use your platform when it presents itself.  Team awards for the 2017 season were presented.

2017 Team Award Winners were:

MVP: Zach Lester

Defensive MVP: Luke Eggers

Offensive MVP: Jaylen DeVries

Special Teams MVP: Landon Lovsted

Lion Spirit Award: Max McKenna and Ryan Thomas

Scout Team Players of the Year: Simon Coleman and Mac Adams

Most Improved Player: Sean Wendel

Lineman of the Year: Jared Penning
