David D. Morrison

David Dow Morrison, 49, of Charles City, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at Floyd County Medical Center, in Charles City.

Per his family’s wishes, David’s body has been cremated and a private Celebration of Life will be held at the Clear Lake Cemetery, in Clear Lake, at a later date.

In lieu of customary remembrances, family suggests memorial contributions be made to Comprehensive Systems, Inc., c/o Jean Shannon; 1700 Clark St.; Charles City, Iowa 50616.

David was born on Sept. 23, 1968, the son of Jim and Babe Morrison, in Lawrence, Kan.  While growing up and in his adult life, he could always be seen laughing.  He loved playing with a ball and competed in the Ball Throw at the Special Olympics.  He was always laughing with young kids who would entertain him with a ball, cartwheels and many more activities.  He also liked musical toys and a unique toy called a Clacker.

David is survived by four siblings, Steve Morrison, of Ham Lake, Minn., Jim (Deb) Morrison, of Clear Lake, Patti Carbaugh, of Clear Lake, and Kris (Steve) Lyman, of Florida; a sister-in-law, Jill Morrison, of Clear Lake; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He has been reunited in Heaven with Jim and Babe, and a brother, Bill Morrison.

Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.
