Wayne Broers

Wayne David Broers, age 73, of Harrison, Mo. passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, at Springfield, Mo.

A funeral service was held on Friday, Nov. 2, at the First United Methodist Church, with Carl Palmer and David Williams officiating.  Interment was in Maplewood Cemetery.  Pallbearers are David Broers, Kevin Broers, Parker Broers, Ron Hunt, Howard Taylor and Chris Roehl.  Honorary pallbearers were Duane Aske, Dr. Joe Bennett, Jim Bennett, Tom Buck, Lance Burtness and Charlie Zirbel.

He was born April 13, 1945, in Mason City, the son of David Walter and Virginia Margaret (Myers) Broers.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Patsy Ann (Rowe) Broers.

Wayne was a member of the First United Methodist Church.  He and Patsy enjoyed walking every day.  He also enjoyed fishing and traveling.  Before Wayne retired, he worked in electric motor sales and repair.

Wayne is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Jean and Shannon Hickman, of Clear Lake; his sons and daughter-in-law, David and Lynn Broers, of Bentonville, Ark. and Kevin Broers, of Harrison; two granddaughters, Madison Broers and Sara Beuhler; three grandsons, Parker Broers, Adam Beuhler, and Nicholas Strayer; and a host of other family and friends.
