Noon Lions Club cancels barbeque

same great event that we have grown accustomed to, however, the most prudent way to proceed with this decision is to cancel the July 19, 2020 event.”
The club reserves the right to reconsider having the event at a later date if circumstances concerning COVID-19 become more favorable to support large group gatherings.
“This was not an easy decision for the board as a whole and we considered all feedback from various sources. However, a decision had to be made and this seemed to be the most appropriate based on information available to us at this time. We all want what is best for our community,” added Thoe.
“We would like to say thank you to our community for the strong support Clear Lake has provided to our clubs’ past annual chicken BBQ fundraisers. Over the years, this event has been a huge success. It provides our club the opportunity to generate funds each year that we collect and turn around and give back to the community. We donate in the forms of philanthropic projects as well as scholarships to our local graduates and other financial donations to worthy causes.”
