Clear Lake’s hopes for a North Central Conference baseball title were dampened last week with a loss to Humboldt, but the Lions hope to finish the regular season strong this week with five NCC games and a non-conference tilt at New Hampton.

The tides turned for the Garner-Hayfield-Ventura softball team, as they ended a losing streak with two big wins last week.

The Cardinals finally got a much deserved win, and they did it in a big way when they defeated Clarion-Goldfield on Tuesday, June 28.
