On July 2 and 3, the City of Clear Lake and RDG Design will launch an on-site strategic planning process designed to gain input and opinions from the community’s residents and visitors.  The goal is to better understand priorities and concepts regarding future streetscape improvements to North Lakeview Drive 

(Main Avenue to 1st Avenue North) and potential future re-use of the former Main Avenue water tower site.  

Pastor will make mission trip to Oklahoma

 

A Clear Lake pastor plans to travel to tornado-ravaged Oklahoma June 10-14 to help in whatever way he can.  He encourages others to join him.

Lake Theater asks to join in City’s Retail Incentive Plan

 

The Sherman family, owners of the Lake Theater in downtown Clear Lake, are asking the City to consider granting them participation in the Retail Incentive Plan which is already in place in the downtown area.

Bob Sherman told the Council some repairs to the theater building are needed in the next few years to safely and effectively conduct business here.

Officials rescue teen from car going through lake ice

 

Emergency crews rescued a Clear Lake teen Thursday night after the vehicle he was driving partially went through the ice while driving on the lake. 

Vehicle, foot chase result in arrest

 

A pair of Mason City residents were arrested after a short vehicle and foot pursuit in Clear Lake Tuesday, Jan. 1.

According to a report from the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department, an incident started at the intersection of Interstate 35 and  4th Avenue South in Clear Lake just before midnight.  It started when a deputy attempted to stop Michael Bush, 34, for driving while under suspension.  They attempted to pull

With the onset of ice cover, officials with the Iowa DNR would like to remind lake users that the winter aeration system is now operating.  The aerators are located on the east shore in front of the water
