School day extended for G-H/V High School students

Effective this week, the Garner-Hayfield/Ventura High School will extend its class dismissal time to 3:25 p.m.  Previously classes were dismissed at 3:11 p.m.

Superintendent Tyler Williams explained the time change is necessary to address two areas of concern: the amount of time studets were on the bus at the end of the day, and lengthening the time students are given to eat lunch.

The change will not effect students at the Middle or Elementary Schools in Ventura.  The end of the school day will stay the same in Ventura.
