Algona Meet
    The weather didn’t slow the Clear Lake girls golf team down Monday night, April 16.  The Lions topped Algona 184-215 in North Central Conference action.
    Meg Monson had the low score for the night, coming in with a 43 to lead the Lions.

Clear Lake boys being led by a strong hurdle team

  The Clear Lake boys track team competed at the Lynx Relays in Webster City on Tuesday, April 17.  Webster City won the meet with 135 points.  Clear Lake was seventh in the seven team field with 37 points.

Lady Vikes posting personal best times are area track meets

The Ventura girls track team has seen improvement in the last two track meets they have competed in and are improving times and recording personal best times in events.

   The Clear Lake boys tennis team downed Webster City, 8-1,  in their first home match off the season on  Monday, April 16.  Jerry Kockler, JJ Theobald and Austin Anderson all won their singles matches by a score of 10-1.  Also picking up

 The Clear Lake girls tennis team topped St. Edmond 5-4 on Friday, April 20.
    Picking up singles victories for the Lions were Kaitlyn Pitzen, Carly Ouverson, Taylor Julsen and Alexis Atkinson.  Pitzen and Julsen teamed up to win at the number two

Girls soccer team falls to a tough Waverly-Shell Rock team

 Waverly-Shell Rock topped the Clear Lake girls soccer team in a 1-0 bout on Friday, April 20 at Lion’s Field.
    The 15th ranked Waverly Shell-Rock team scored at the 34 minute mark in the second half when a ball got past goalkeeper Riley Brinkman.  It was the only ball that got past Brinkman, as she collected 20 saves in the game.

Ventura boys compete at Belmond Meet

   The Ventura boys track competed in Belmond on Tuesday, April 17.  The Vikings placed fourth out of six teams.
    Two events for the Vikings picked up second place finishes.  The 1600 meter relay team of Josh Miller, Kevin Boehnke, Jon Haag and Jeff O’Brien ran the race in 4:20.57
