Clear Lake woman enters Iowa House District 60 primary race

Clear Lake resident Deb Hild, a Republican, has announced her candidacy for Iowa House District 60.

Hild is jumping into the race for the new District 60, which includes Worth and  Mitchell counties, six precincts in Cerro Gordo and two precincts in Floyd counties.

Get ready for the Easter holiday with an Easter Egg Hunt in your local newspaper!

Look over all of the pages very carefully and simply call 641-357-2131 and tell us how many eggs you found in your paper. (Excluding ads). If calling after hours, you may leave your information on our answering system.  Just remember to tell us your name, phone number and how many eggs you found.

Charles Jackson “Jack” Kennedy was born in Clear Lake on Nov. 12, 1924 to Mary (Williams) and Samuel Kennedy Jr. and passed on March 31, 2022. 

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 6, at Zion Lutheran Church, 112 N. 4th St, Clear Lake, with Pastor Steve Bang officiating. Burial will be held in Clear Lake Cemetery where Military Honors will take place. A luncheon will take place at the church following the burial.
