John A. Jordan

John A. Jordan, 59, of Clear Lake, passed away April 8, 2022 at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, Mason City.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, at Pilot Knob Lutheran Church, 2391 330th St., Forest City, with the Rev. Robert Snitzer officiating. He will be buried at Brush Point Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 310 1st Ave. N., Clear Lake. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Geraldine L. Brower

Geraldine Lavon Brower, 84, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022, in Marlow, Okla.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date. All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Geraldine was born Wednesday, May 26, 1937, in Crystal Lake, Iowa, to Henry and Evelyn (Peck) Brower. She was a graduate of Clear Lake High School.  Geraldine worked as a secretary and in sales for Winnebago. She lived in Clear Lake all of her life.

Troy Michael Harringa, 55, of Inver Grove Heights, Minn., passed away April 9, 2022, at NC Little Hospice in Edina, Minn. 

He was born April 12, 1966, in Mason City.  

Visitation will be held April 16,  from 10-11:30 a.m., with a Celebration of Life service to follow at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St., Mason City.

The family requests that everyone dress casually.

Clear Lake shut out Charles City, 10-0, in the first soccer match of the season.

Travaughn Luyobya and Kinnick Clabaugh scored three goals apiece to lead the Lions Tuesday, April 5.

The Clear Lake boys tennis team opened the 2022 year against ninth ranked (2A) Mason City.  Clear Lake lost the match 9-0 to a very deep Mason City team.
