Martha I. Wolf, 74, of Clear Lake, passed away on Friday, Nov. 22, 2019, at MercyOne-North Iowa, in Mason City.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30, from 9-11 a.m., at St. James Lutheran Church, 1148 4th St SE, Mason City, with a memorial service beginning at 11 a.m., with Rev. Sid Bohls officiating. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.

Martha Irene “Sis” Wolf was born on July 11, 1945, in Bancroft, Iowa, to Virgil and Irene (Laabs) Wolf. She graduated from St. John’s High School in 1963.

Clear Lake High School’s 10-1 team was well-represented on the Iowa Print Sports Writers Association’s (IPSWA) 2019 football All-State teams announced Tuesday, Nov. 26. The teams were selected by print sports writers in Iowa during a meeting on Saturday.

Five Lions were named to the Class 2A First Team.

For the second straight year Jaylen DeVries, Ryan Thomas and Jack Barragy were First Team selections.

Gary L. Zimmerman, 75, of Clear Lake, passed away Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019, at the University of Minnesota Hospital, in Minneapolis, Minn.

A celebration of Gary’s life will be held at a later date.

Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.

Richard R. Westcott, 80, of Clear Lake, passed away Friday, Nov. 15, 2019.

A farewell remembrance will be held Saturday, Nov. 23, from noon-3 p.m. at the VFW, 219 Main Avenue, Clear Lake.

The son of Rex and Esther Westcott, Richard Ray Westcott was born on Oct. 8, 1939, the oldest of three children. He received his education in the Ventura Community School district where he was Class President in 1957. He enjoyed a dynamic career in salesmanship, eventually embracing his true passion of entrepreneurial business.
