On Saturday, July 29, a group of Iowa’s most talented pre-college football players lined up across from each other in the UNI Dome for the 45th Annual Iowa Shrine Bowl.

The Iowa Shrine Bowl Game is an all-star football game between selected pre-college football athletes on each side of a north-south dividing line in Iowa. The players are selected by a process of nomination by coaches, balloting by state-wide sports media professionals, and official invitation from a representative of the Iowa Shrine Bowl.

44-years later, Cuda comes home

Leroy Miller received a birthday gift from his wife Rose last year that brought back memories. The gift was a toy replica of a 1970 Plymouth AAR Cuda, just like the one Miller owned when he met Rose, but the story doesn’t end there.

First to put name on ballot for November election

Clear Lake Mayor Nelson P. Crabb has announced he will be seeking re-election this November.  Crabb, who has served as the community’s mayor for 12 years, said an opportunity to see some existing projects come to fruition and help lead some new ones played a factor in his decision to run for a fourth term.
