Newest addition to the M-R family

Sybil Loe Finnegan was born Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines.  This little Irish miracle weighed seven pounds, three ounces at birth and was 19-inches long.  She is the first child of Christopher and Stephanie Finnegan and the first grandchild of Clear Lake Mirror-Reporter Owner/Publisher Mike Finnegan and his wife, Sue.  She is also the first grandchild of Stephanie’s parents, Dawn and Van Turner.

Judith Ann Rinnels, 72 of Clear Lake, died Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City  Per Judy's wishes, a graveside service will be 11 am Monday, July 17 at Clear Lake Cemetery.  Family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice of North Iowa.

Mary Ann Flaten, 79 of Clear Lake,  died Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at her home.  A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, July 18 at Clear Lake United Methodist Church.  Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Monday, July 17 at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake.  Family suggests memorial contributions to One Vision (previously Opportunity Village) or to Galilean Church, Clear Lake.

Mary Ann Flaten

Mary Ann Flaten, 79 of Clear Lake,  died Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at her home.  A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, July 18 at Clear Lake United Methodist Church.  Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Monday, July 17 at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake.  Family suggests memorial contributions to One Vision (previously Opportunity Village) or to Galilean Church, Clear Lake.

Lorene Hansen

Lorene M. Hansen, 92, of Clear Lake, died Friday, July 7, 2017, at Good Shepherd Health Center, Mason City, Iowa.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. 4th St., Clear Lake, with the Rev. Steve Lomen officiating.  Inurnment will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home in Clear Lake.

Robert Klassen

Robert L. Klassen, Ventura, died Sunday, June 18, 2017, at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital, Britt, Iowa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 15, 2017, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1001 9th Ave. S., Clear Lake, with the Rev. John Gossman officiating.  Inurnment will be at the Clear Lake Cemetery with military honors provided by the Clear Lake VFW Post 4868.
