The lake level dropped .48” to its new reading of 

-5.04” below the weir. Last year at this time the lake measured -28.08” below the weir.

The lake level was measured as

 -2.52 inches below the weir on Tuesday, Sept. 3.  The new mark represents a loss of 1.68 inches from a week ago. Last year at this time the lake measured -24.72” below the weir.

Head-on collision sends four to hospital

 Four persons were seriously injured Tuesday night, April 8, in a head-on collision at Highway 18 and McIntosh Road, west of Clear Lake.

 At 9:32 p.m. the Clear Lake Police Department received a report of the collision.

Parties close on warehouse development property

 Purchase of land in the city’s Larry Luker Memorial Industrial Park by a developer planning to construct a warehouse and distribution center with a capital investment of $65 million has been finalized.
 According to documents filed at the Cerro Gordo County Courthouse, Windmill Realty LLC has purchased Lots 6 and 7 in the Industrial Park’s First Addition for $920,700 from Snyder Construction Partnership LLP.

Hospital posts Level One visitation restriction

Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa has enforced Level One Visitation Restriction for the protection of patients and to prevent the further spread of influenza.

During Level One Visitation Restriction at Mercy – North Iowa:

•Visitors with respiratory and/or influenza like symptoms are restricted from visiting hospitalized patients;

•Visitors are triaged for Influenza like symptoms before entering the Birth Center and/or Pediatric unit;
