    Ina Mae (Barr) Andrews, widow of the late Gordon Andrews, passed away Nov. 16, 2011, at the Stanton Care Center, Stanton, Iowa, with her family at her side. She had been a resident there for more than three years.
     Funeral services were held at the Red Presbyterian Church on Friday, Nov. 19.  The Rev. Caryn Pedersen officiated.  Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, in Red Oak, Iowa.

    Luella (Susie) Hanson, 94, 302 2nd St. NE, Mason City, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home. 
     A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 14, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. 4th St., Clear Lake with the Rev. Kent Mechler officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 – 6 p.m. at Ward-Van Slyke.  Interment will be at the Concord Cemetery, Garner, Iowa. Memorials may be given to Good Shepherd Health Center in memory of Luella Hanson.

    Mary A. Coyier, 88, formerly of Clear Lake, died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011 at the Sibley Nursing and Rehabilitation, Sibley, Iowa. 
     A Memorial Mass was held Friday, Sep. 23, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Clear Lake, with the Rev. John R. Tilp officiating. Memorials may be given to the Mary A. Coyier Memorial Fund.

Robert Oliphant

    Robert Eugene Oliphant, 77, of 115 S. 23rd St. Clear Lake, died Friday, Aug. 26, 2011 at his home.
    A celebration of Robert’s life was held Tuesday, Aug. 30, at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake with Pastor Scott Wilson of the Christian Church officiating. Military honors were provided by the Clear Lake V.F.W.  The family suggests memorials to Hospice of North Iowa.

JoAnn Shallberg

    JoAnn E. Shallberg, 77, of Clear Lake, died Monday, July 25, 2011 at her home.  A Celebration of Life will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 29, at the Galilean Lutheran Church, 4454 255th St., Highway 18 West, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Scot McCluskey officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Nebraska.  Upon her wishes she was cremated and there will be no visitation.
    Memorials are suggested to the Galilean Lutheran Church or Opportunity Village, both of Clear Lake.

    James Wyatt Bawden passed away on June 23, 2011 at the age of 81 years. Jim was born on April 23, 1930, in St. Louis, Mo.  He was the son of Lee and Rose Bawden. The family moved to Clear Lake when Jim was very young to operate the Lakeshore Hotel.  Jim grew up in Clear Lake and treasured the memories of his childhood on the lake, even
