Boys place in the top 10 at State Track Meet

Not only did the Clear Lake boys track team qualify for 11 events at the State Track Meet held May 19-21 at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, but of those 11 events, every one of them either ran a season best time, or improved on where they were seeded coming into the meet.

Clear Lake advanced to Sub-State soccer competition Monday, May 23, against North Fayette Valley following a first round playoff win over New Hampton Thursday night.

The season came to an end last week for the Clear Lake girls soccer team.  The Lions fell, 3-2 in overtime, to Grundy Center-Gladbrook-Reinbeck in first round Regional play.

The season came to an end last week for the Clear Lake girls soccer team.  The Lions fell, 3-2 in overtime, to Grundy Center-Gladbrook-Reinbeck in first round Regional play.

Girls golf team records best score of the year

The Clear Lake girls had final tune-up round before Regionals, competing Monday, May 16, at the Ballard Country Club.   The six-team tournament included ADM, Ballard, Clear Lake, Bondurant, Indianola and North Polk. Clear Lake came out victorious with its best team score of the year, 327. Indianola came in second place with a 386. 

The Lions had five of the top eight individuals, who all medaled.
