Robin D. Faught, 58, of Clear Lake, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021. 

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 25, at 10:30 a.m., at Bethel United Methodist Church, 503 S East St., Manly. Interment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.   Memorials may be directed to the family of Robin Faught. Donna Rae Simpson, 78, peacefully passed away on Sunday, Aug. 22, 2021, at Sheffield Care Center. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, at Ward-Van-Slyke Colonial Chapel, 310 1st Ave North, Clear Lake.

Visitation will be one hour prior at the funeral home.

Deborah Lynn Nelson, 67, of Mason City, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021, at her home.

Per Deborah’s wishes, her body has been cremated and no services are scheduled at this time.

Deborah was born May 26, 1954, the daughter of Darwin and Margie (Pals) Nelson, in Mason City. She grew up and attended school in Clear Lake and Mason City.

Two more incumbents seek re-election

All three incumbents on the Clear Lake City Council have announced their intention to seek re-election.

Clear Lake Mayor Nelson Crabb and Second Ward Councilman Bennett Smith became the latest to confirm their candidacy, joining At-large Council representative Dana Brant, who previously announced he would be on the Nov. 2 ballot.

Crabb will run for fifth term
