Boys golf team finishes third

The Clear Lake boys golf team (28-6) was in Webster City Thursday to compete in the Lynx Invitational.  The Lions finished third with a score of 360.  Gilbert won the team title with a 324, followed by Webster City with 348.  Nevada was next at 368 and Ballard had 374.  Webster City Purple carded 384.

Feuerbach signs with Mount Mercy

Clear Lake High School senior PJ Feuerbach signed a national letter of intent last week to play baseball at Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  “We are very excited to have PJ in our program,” said Mount Mercy Head Baseball Coach Jack Dahm.

Jacobs wins long jump competition

Don Hoppel Relays

Makella Jacobs led the Clear Lake girls track team at the Don Hoppel Relays held Monday in Garner.  Jacobs had a leap of 13’10.75” to win the long jump competition.

Alana Moody also provided points in the field events for the Lions.  She tossed the shot 28’5” to place third.

The Clear Lake boys tennis team was firing on all cylinders last week, as they blanked St. Edmund 8-0, and nearly did the same to Hampton-Dumont and South Hardin.

Remember When 5-5-2021

Fard Salim Shabazz-Blue

Fàrd Salim Shabazz, 23, of Ventura, passed away Aug. 15, 2017.Memorial services will be held at a later date.Fàrd was born Aug. 28, 1993 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of George Blue III and Nichelle Richardson.He moved with his fiancé and her family to Ventura, from Murrieta, California. in 2015. He was involved with the opening of Gunny’s Smokehouse, in Ventura, where he was the kitchen manager. He was enrolled and planning on attending N.I.A.C.C.
