Mark Lee Harthan, 63, of Clear Lake, died Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020, at his home.

Per Mark’s wishes, his body has been cremated, and a memorial service will be scheduled in the near future.

Daniel D. Swartz

Daniel “Dan” D. Swartz Sr., 85, died on Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, at Manly Specialty Care Center.

  According to Dan’s wishes, his body has been cremated. A memorial may be held at a later date.

  Daniel was born on Feb. 3, 1935, in Hanlontown, Iowa, to Samuel B. Swartz II and Charlotte (McEnelly) Swartz.

Dr. Robert P. Terry

Dr. Robert P. “Doc” Terry, 82, of Clear Lake, passed away Monday, Nov. 30, 2020, at Oakwood Care Center, in Clear Lake, after a series of health issues.

Per Doc’s wishes, his body has been donated to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program for medical research. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be distributed to organizations that impacted his life.

Izetta June Weaver, 95, of Clear Lake, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, in Mason City.

Per Izetta’s wishes, her body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, in Mason City.

Family suggests memorial contributions to University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital or the Ronald McDonald House of Eastern Iowa in Iowa City.

It was a week of challenging matchups for the Clear Lake boys.  First, the Lions hosted county rival Mason City.  Then it was time for the defending North Central Conference champs to play on the road at Humboldt.

Fourth ranked Clear Lake (3A) was tested last week, but kept their perfect record intact with victories over non-conference rival Mason City and Humboldt in the North Central Conference opener.
