“Ice Out” was officially declared on Clear Lake Saturday, March 28, by the city’s Water Superintendent Adam Theiss.

Schedules for the 2020 Iowa high school football regular season were announced by the Iowa High School Athletic Association last week.  The schedules are in place for just one year, as opposed to the usual two-year football cycle.

Earth Day 5k and 10k races will be held virtually

Race director Steven Story and the Clear Lake Earth Day team have a creative solution for this year’s race.  In response to the coronavirus crisis, the Earth Day 5K and 10K races will be held virtually.  

Those who have already registered you do not need to do anything, organizers will manage the transition for you. Those who are not yet registered simply need to register for the virtual race.

Jill Ann Miller, 64, of Clear Lake, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at MercyOne North Iowa Hospice, in Mason City.

Following the recommendations set forth by the CDC, as well as careful consideration for the family and friends of Mrs. Miller, the family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
