Penelope Swanberg

Penelope Ann Swanberg passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, at the Hospice House in Omaha, Neb., at the age of 77 years, with her family by her side.

A private family service will be held in Door County Wisconsin, in October of 2017.

Penny, the daughter of Beth and John E. Couillard, was born on Oct. 13, 1939, in Manitowoc, Wis.  Penny was raised in Wisconsin and moved to Minneapolis, Minn. her junior year of high school.  She attended the University of Minnesota, where she met John Swanberg.

TeamQuest sold to Minneapolis based HelpSystems

A Minneapolis, Minn. based software company announced the acquisition of TeamQuest, Clear Lake, on Dec. 15.

Company officials from HelpSystems were in Clear Lake Thursday and Friday to share the news with employees and start planning a successful integration.

Unique storytelling program helping seniors to expand imagination

We are all full of stories.  But as the years go by, memory loss can become frustrating and even debilitating. A program aimed to improve the well-being of seniors by infusing creativity into care relationships and systems has been introduced at Country Meadow Place, located just outside of Clear Lake.

Unique storytelling program helping seniors to expand imagination

We are all full of stories.  But as the years go by, memory loss can become frustrating and even debilitating. A program aimed to improve the well-being of seniors by infusing creativity into care relationships and systems has been introduced at Country Meadow Place, located just outside of Clear Lake.

TimeSlips, a storytelling program for seniors, is now offered four times each week at the assisted living and memory care community located just off Highway 122 between Clear Lake and Mason City.
