Sally L. Kennedy, 86, of Clear Lake, passed away on November 1, 2016.  There will be a gathering of friends and family on Friday, November 4 from 5-7 pm at Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake.  Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, November 5 at 10:30 am at Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel.

Grace Darlene Smith, 82, of Waukee, Iowa, formerly of Clear Lake, died on Oct. 26, 2016, in Johnston, Iowa.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, at Ernst Funeral Home, Waukee.  Interment was at the Waukee Cemetery.

Grace was born to Louis and Lillian Faye (Rice) Hansen on March 20, 1934, in Eagle Grove, Iowa.

Arnold Berend “Dutch” Duitscher, 91 of Thornton, Iowa, died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016, in his home on the farm.

A funeral service was held on Monday, Oct. 31, 2016, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, with The Rev. Kathryn Campbell officiating.  Burial with military honors provided by the Clear Lake VFW was in Ventura Cemetery, in Ventura.

Jeffery “Jeff” Allen Floy, 57, of Northwood, Iowa, died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016, at his home.  His final days were spent with family, friends, and pets.

At his request, no service will be held.

Jeffery Allen Floy was born on June 22, 1959, in Mason City, Iowa, the son of Marlowe and Donna (Cox) Floy.  He attended school in Clear Lake, and received his GED while in the Navy.
