Snelling and Faber receive post-season recognition

Clear Lake seniors Emily Snelling and Jessica Faber have received post-season volleyball honors.

Snelling was named to the All-North Central Conference Second Team.  She led the team in kills with 219, averaging 2.55 per set.   She was also the leader in serving, putting in 249 of 276 serve attempts for an efficiency rating of 90 percent.  She recorded 23 aces in 86 sets played.

On Nov. 10, Clear Lake police arrested Nicholas Dustin Horst, 36, of Clear Lake, on charges of Willful Injury, a Class C Felony, and Serious Injury by Vehicle, a Class D Felony.

On Nov. 10, Clear Lake police arrested Nicholas Dustin Horst, 36, of Clear Lake, on charges of Willful Injury, a Class C Felony, and Serious Injury by Vehicle, a Class D Felony.

  Horst was the driver of a 2016 Hyundai Veloster that struck a bicyclist in the 2200 block of Main Avenue on Sept. 27, 2016.  Horst is alleged to have driven his car under the influence of drugs, intentionally striking the bicyclist causing serious injury.
