Lorena Luella Etchen, 85, of Clear Lake, died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2015, at her home.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Kirk M. Wilkie officiating.  Inurnment will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorials may be made to Central Gardens of North Iowa, in Clear Lake, or Humane Society of North Iowa, in Mason City.

Sandra “Sandy” Elaine Tyer, 73, of Clear Lake, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City, surrounded by her family.

Dennis Dale Simmer, 63, of Garner, Iowa, and formerly of Clear Lake, died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2015, at the Concord Care Center, Garner.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Dennis was born July 23, 1952 in Estherville, Iowa, the son of Donald and Margaret (Rosander) Simmer Sr.  His family moved to Clear Lake in 1958.  He graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1970.

Lynn Markay Harris, 70, of Clear Lake, died Friday, Oct. 9, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, in Mason City.

Per Lynn’s wishes, his body has been cremated and a memorial service for Lynn will be held at a later date.

Family suggests memorial contributions to Lewy Body Dementia Association, www.lbda.org, or North Iowa Humane Society.
