Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Petersen have purchased the lunch room adjoining the Lake Theatre from Jim Anderson.  Mrs. Petersen plans to operate it and she will continue to work at the Standard Service Station.

The city has purchased 15,000 gallons of oil to be used on city streets.

Cerro Gordo County population is 43,812 according to the census.  It was 38,476 in 1930.

Evelyn L. Opheim, 91, of West Des Moines, Iowa, formerly of Clear Lake, died Saturday, July 18, 2015, at the Iowa Methodist Hospital, Des Moines.
