The Anton Larson stand on the North Shore of Clear Lake was held up at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.  At that time two men with white handkerchiefs over their faces entered the stand, each having guns in their hands, but saying nothing.  Mr. Larson was in front of the stand as they entered.  Apparently the holdup men were scared out when Mrs.

A severe storm passed through Clear Lake and its vicinity.  A black cloud gathered and rapidly deposited a downpour of rain and considerable hail.  The wind also did damage.  Jake Sawyer lost three head of cattle that were in a pasture and were struck by lightening.

The Garner-Hayfield/Ventura baseball team wrapped up their regular season with wins over West Hancock, but dropped the opening game in Class 2A, District 4 action later in the week.

The Cardinals soared past the West Hancock Eagles in a double header played on Monday, July 6.  GHV won both games by scores of 10-3 and 4-3.
