More businesses were opened and regulations lifted last week as Governor Kim Reynolds extended the Public Health Emergency Declaration concerning the COVID-19 outbreak into June.

Financial rating helps $18M school bond sale

An excellent Standard and Poors (S&P) rating and favorable bond climate helped the Clear Lake School District receive an extremely good bid on its sale of $18 million in general obligation bonds.  The bond issuance was approved by voters in March to support a variety of school building projects, as well as community wellness center done in partnership with the City of Clear Lake.

The hits to the summer event list just keep coming.

“After careful consideration and research, it is with great sadness that we must report to you that this year’s performance series of the Clear Lake Municipal Band is canceled in its entirety,” Director Brandon Borseth announced.  “It was hoped that as May turned to June that there would be some opportunity to fill the Bandshell with the sounds of summer. It was our hope to salvage some semblance of a season, but it is very clear at this point it would be
