Council gives unanimous approval to Main Street project

The Clear Lake City Council voted unanimously Monday night to proceed with the $980,273 East Main Avenue Reconstruction and Bike Lane Extension Project, but may consider a change in parking areas designated in the plan.

The Council held a public hearing on the proposed resolution of necessity for the work Monday.  Three property owners appeared to ask questions, with two of them voicing their opposition to the plan.

Grapplers defeat two conference opponents

It was a good week for the Clear Lake wrestling team.  Ryan Leisure became the winningest wrestler in Clear Lake High School history and the Lions defeated two conference opponents to go to 3-1 in North Central Conference duals.  The Lions also competed in the Battle of Waterloo and won their pool.

Off night dooms the Lions in 74-70 loss

An off night doomed the Lions in a showdown with the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowboys Tuesday, Dec. 13.  The Cowboys were hot and the Lions were not in a 74-70 Clear Lake loss.
