Verbena Mae Friesleben, 95, of Clear Lake, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, at the Heritage Care Center, Mason City, Iowa.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, at Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Steve Bang officiating.  Burial was in the Belmond Cemetery, Belmond.

Family suggests memorials to Zion Lutheran Women.

Paul Ray Lampman, 74, of Clear Lake, died Monday, Dec. 12, 2016, at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

A funeral service was held on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, at the Open Bible Church, 509 S. 17th St., Clear Lake, with Pastor Will Hunsaker officiating.  Interment was in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.

  In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions to the Paul Lampman Memorial Fund.

Kathleen Jo Bucher Grove passed away into the deep love of God on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, at the age of 95.

Her funeral service was held at Christ Lutheran Church, Ferndale, Wash., on Saturday, Dec. 10. Her ashes will be buried in Plover, Iowa in the summer of 2017.

Memorials may be given to Christ Lutheran Church Ferndale, Wash.

Penelope Ann Swanberg passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, at the Hospice House in Omaha, Neb., at the age of 77 years, with her family by her side.

A private family service will be held in Door County Wisconsin, in October of 2017.

Penny, the daughter of Beth and John E. Couillard, was born on Oct. 13, 1939, in Manitowoc, Wis.  Penny was raised in Wisconsin and moved to Minneapolis, Minn. her junior year of high school.  She attended the University of Minnesota, where she met John Swanberg.
