With temperatures in the 90s, and the “feels like” temperature topping 100, the beaches were full last week on Clear Lake.  Youngsters especially enjoyed the “Splash Pad” at City Beach.  The City intends to expand the popular Splash Pad in the future.-Reporter photo by Chris Barragy.

It’s that time of the season where whichever team plays the best baseball will succeed.  Unfortunately for the Garner-Hayfield-Ventura baseball team, that team was Emmetsburg (16-14).  The E-Hawks topped the Cardinals on Tuesday, July 12, in a Class 2A District 3 game played in Clear Lake.

Despite valiant effort CL girls fall to E-LC to end the season

Clear Lake’s Chloe Mueller was happy to score against Estherville-Lincoln Central in Monday night’s Regional final.  The run gave the Lions a 2-1 lead.
