Clear Lake, recognized as one of Iowa’s greatest natural lake resources, is included in a five-year plan (1991-’95) prepared by the Cerro Gordo County Resource Enhancement Committee.  The Farmer’s Beach area, along the south shore of Clear Lake, was earmarked in the plan.  The Farmer’s Beach complex is owned by Max Clausen, and the Connell and Ashland families.

Laurence Fredriksen, of Clear Lake, has been selected as the Grand Marshal for the July 4th parade.
