The New Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott® plans to welcome guests starting Friday, Jan. 7, according to Jeris Schesser, director of operations for VKB Management.

The Clear Lake City Council amended its Consolidated Urban Renewal Plan at its regular meeting Monday, Jan. 3.

The purpose of the amendment was to add two new city project areas into the plan: the South 15th Street Redevelopment Project and the former Woodford-Wheeler Redevelopment Project.

Surf Ballroom dance floor starts the new year with a new finish

Millions of feet have danced and partied on the floor at the Surf Ballroom and many famous entertainers have performed on the iconic stage.  After much wear and tear on the historic dance floor and stage, it was time for a renovation.
