Enjoying their pancakes in 1971 - Putting away a pile of pancakes in 1971 were Alan, 9, and Michael, 2 1/2, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hejna, of Ventura.  They were eating their share of flapjacks at the Ventura Lions’ annual pancake feed held at the Ventura Elementary gym.  About 175 persons were served.

Enjoying their pancakes in 1971 - Putting away a pile of pancakes in 1971 were Alan, 9, and Michael, 2 1/2, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hejna, of Ventura.  They were eating their share of flapjacks at the Ventura Lions’ annual pancake feed held at the Ventura Elementary gym.  About 175 persons were served.

Neva J. Bitker passed away just days before her 85th birthday on Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021, at the IOOF Home in Mason City. 

A memorial service was held on Monday, Dec. 13, at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, Mason City.  Inurnment followed in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

A Memorial service for Beverly will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Ward-Van-Slyke Colonial Chapel, 310 1st Ave N, Clear Lake, with Pastor Steve Bang and Al Berge officiating for Zion Lutheran Church. Inurnment will be held following the service in the Coulter Cemetery.
