Clear Lake made it two straight with a win over another North Central Conference foe Tuesday night, Sept. 7.  The Lions stopped Iowa Falls-Alden, 3-1, to improve to 5-3 overall and 2-0 in the NCC.

Mark R. Nelson, 67, of Belmond, Iowa, died on Aug. 24, 2021.  

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 25, from 12:30-3 p.m. followed by services at 3:30 p.m. at Andrews Funeral Home, in Belmond.

Memorials can be sent to The Belmond Historical Museum, the Bark Park, in Belmond, St. Olaf Cemetery, and The Wright County Hospice or your choice of charity.

Dwight Eugene Williamson, 85, of Clear Lake, died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, in Mason City.

Per Dwight’s wishes, his body has been cremated and a private graveside inurnment will be held Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021, at Clear Lake Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, at the Ventura Community Center, 4 Weimer St., Ventura.

Building is sold; Organization will disband

Some call it a victim of COVID; others say it’s the times we’re living in.  Whatever the reason, after 38-years at its present location and more than 75-years as an organization, the Clear Lake Senior Center is no more.
