CL girls claim some gold medals at Charles City Invitational

The Clear Lake girls track team had a couple of medal winners at the Charles City Invitational held Thursday, April 22.  Emily McLaughlin outdistanced the competition in the 300 meters to claim the gold medal in a time of 12:45.0.  Payton McGrath was also a medal winner, placing third in the 400 hurdles in a time of 1:22.25.  Anna Feuerbach finished fourth in the 800 meters in 2:48.57.

Five more wins for girls golf team

The Clear Lake girls golf team went 5-1 this past week, winning conference matches against Webster City, Humboldt, and Algona.

CL boys continue golf tradition

The Clear Lake boys golf team is continuing the Lions’ tradition of excellence in 2021.  The Lions are currently 17-3 overall and 2-1 in the North Central Conference.  Clear Lake’s junior varsity team is 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the NCC.

CL girls beat Nevada

The Clear Lake girls tennis team notched a win on Friday.  The Lions edged Nevada, 5-4.

Clear Lake won four of six singles matches, but didn’t secure the win until the doubles team of Aimee Groeneweg and Whitney Finer outlasted their opponents, 9-7.
