Kenneth M. McCormick, 75, of Clear Lake, passed away peacefully Friday, June 18, 2021, in Clear Lake.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 23, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, in Decorah, with the Rev. Fr. Donald Hertges officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at St. Benedict Catholic Church, in Decorah, on Wednesday.

  Izetta June Weaver, 95, of Clear Lake, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, in Mason City.

Per Izetta’s wishes, her body has been cremated and a graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, at Memorial Park Cemetery, in Mason City.

Family suggests memorial contributions to University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital or the Ronald McDonald House of Eastern Iowa, in Iowa City.

Marietta Muchow passed away in Broken Arrow, Okla. on Oct. 6, 2020, due to the complications of COVID-19.  

The family is planning a memorial service at the Postville Cemetery on Sept. 5, at 1:30 p.m.

Lions go 5-2 during busy week of ball

The baseball season moved into high gear last week, with varsity games being played daily.  The Lions went 5-2 in the busy stretch, which included weekend games played in Council Bluffs.

The Lions started the stretch by beating Algona 5-3 on Monday, June 14.
