Another gateway to the community will soon be upgraded.

On Monday night, the City Council approved the purchase of a lighted, floating dock to be installed at the end of Main Avenue and Sea Wall area this year.  The dock, manufactured by Pier Genius, of Woden, Iowa at a  cost of $94,200, will replace a fixed post and plank dock system.

There may be snow on the ground, but Clear Lake City Council members are making plans for summer projects.  At their first meeting of the new year on Jan. 6, the Council is expected to review a multi-million Main Avenue reconstruction project, as well as accept a bid for an expanded splash pad project at City Beach.
