Eric Faught etched his name in North Central Conference history as a four-time NCC title holder, and the Lions earned four additional titles at the conference meet held Saturday at Clarion.  Twelve Lions contributed to a runner-up finish for Clear Lake.

Dolores Jean Huffman, 81, of Ventura, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019, at Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, in Mason City.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 19, at Galilean Lutheran Church, 4454 255th St., Clear Lake, with Pastor Scot McCluskey officiating.  Burial was at Memorial Park Cemetery, in Mason City.

Michael A. Schmidt, 58, of Garner, passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, in Mason City.

  Funeral services will be held at  2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 25, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, in Garner, with Rev. Jim Dubert officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

  Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

  Memorials are preferred to Special Olympics or Hospice of North Iowa.
