GHV cross country teams participated in the Clear Lake Invitational Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Regular Baptist Camp at Ventura.  The Cardinal boys team finished eighth in the 13-team field, while the GHV girls were 10th among 14 teams in the varsity race.

Lake Mills sweeps GHV volleyball in three

Perennial power Lake Mills swept the Garner-Hayfield-Ventura volleyball team, 3-0, Tuesday, Sept. 11.  Game scores were 25-7, 25-21, 25-10.

Coach Kelsey Edwards was pleased with her teams’ outing against the Bulldogs.

Fast start help Osage down GHV, 52-36

A quick start propelled the Osage Green Devils to a 52-36 victory over Garner-Hayfield-Ventura Friday night in Garner.  The loss dropped the Cards to 1-3 heading into Class 2A District 2 play this week.  As Coach Scott VanDusseldorp says, the team will need to bring its ‘A’ game when it travels to unbeaten Algona Friday.

The Clear Lake volleyball team is still looking for a break-through win, but in the meantime the Lions are playing some exciting matches.   Thursday the Lions (2-10) went five games with Crestwood before falling 3-2.
