Personal watercraft collision sends teen to hospital

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources law enforcement and Clear Lake Fire and Rescue responded to a crash involving several juveniles on Clear Lake at approximately 8:15 p.m. on Friday, July 6.

Firefighters able to contain sizeable blaze to garage

A fire which caused substantial damage to a garage and destroyed a vehicle, lawnmower and other contents Friday, July 6, remains under investigation.

The Ventura Fire Department was dispatched to 45 Lido Road at approximately 11:30 p.m. Friday.  The Clear Lake Fire Department was also sent to the scene on automatic mutual aide.

Groups urge Council to sell property for housing development

Representatives of the North Iowa Economic Development Corridor, Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce, local school and business leaders attended the Monday, July 2, Clear Lake City Council meeting in support of a project which will help to bring multi-family market rate rental properties to Clear Lake.

City leaders shared their enthusiasm for the sale of city-owned property at 100 S. 15th St. with a unanimous vote.
