Hildegarde Margaret (Gruis) Pals passed away April 2, 2018, at Iowa Specialty Hospital, in Belmond, Iowa.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Immanuel Reformed Church, east of Belmond.  The Reverend David Dekuiper officiated.  Burial was in the Immanuel Reformed Church Cemetery.

Edna M. Howick

Edna Mae Howick, 90, of Ferndale, Wash. died Jan. 17, 2018.  Edna had lived in Garner, Iowa, for the past 11 years and moved to Washington six months ago.

  A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 21, 2018, at the Cataldo Funeral Home, in Garner, with the Rev. Paul Evans, of the United Methodist Church officiating. Inurnment will be at Concord Township Cemetery, in Garner, followed by a time of food and fellowship at the United Methodist Church.

Edna M. Howick

Dorothy Garlock

Dorothy (Phillips) Garlock, 98, a resident of Clear Lake for more than 60 years, the author of 62 novels, and one of the greatest grandmothers who ever lived, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 6, 2018, at Oakwood Care Center, in Clear Lake.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. 4th St., Clear Lake, with Pastor Ed Bard officiating.  Inurnment will be at Clear Lake Cemetery at a later date.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at the First Christian Church, in Iowa Falls.  Burial was at the Maynes Grove Cemetery.

Mildred Irene (Meyer) Kloetzer was born July 11, 1931 at Chapin, Iowa, to Simon and Alice (Wertjes) Meyer.
