Darrold W. Mohr, 87, of Clear Lake, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017, in Blue Earth, Minn.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. 4th St., Clear Lake, with the Rev. Mark Lavrenz officiating and military honors provided by the Clear Lake VFW Post 4868.  Following a luncheon, burial will be at East Lawn Cemetery, in Algona, Iowa.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Philip Edward Golding, 92, of Clear Lake, died at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa, in Mason City, on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017.

Funeral Mass for Evelyn Lucille Downing, 83, of Clear Lake, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at St. Mary Catholic Church, in Greene, Iowa, with the Rev. Msgr. Walter Brunkan officiating.  Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Greene.

Visitation will be one hour before services at the church on Friday.

With temperatures in the upper 50s and even predicted to reach 60 by this weekend, it’s hard to believe winter is supposedly almost here.  Lewis and Chris Callaway were out enjoying ice-free running over the weekend.-Reporter photo by Chris Barragy.
