Has the city’s practice of approving Development Agreements and granting participation in its Retail Incentive Program grown beyond it’s original intent?

The Clear Lake City Council will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. Monday night, Oct. 16, to review two requests for development agreements and property tax incentives.  Each request has its own unique issues for the Council to consider- one being the high cost of property tax rebate, and the other being a second request for building improvement.

Mitchell Richard Anderson, 52, of St. Paul, Minn., formerly of Clear Lake, died Monday, Oct. 2, 2017.

A private graveside inurnment will be held on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at the Clear Lake Cemetery in Clear Lake, with Pastor Harlan Siri officiating.

Mitchell was born Feb. 15, 1965, the son of Richard and Karen (Griffith) Anderson, in Eagle Grove, Iowa.  He grew up attending school in Clear Lake. Following high school, he worked most of his life in the construction industry.

Natasha Marie Bryan, 13, of Clear Lake, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, at her home surrounded by family and her cats after a long battle with Wilm’s tumor.

A memorial service was held on Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, at Clear Lake Church of Christ, 2010 14th Ave. N., Clear Lake, with Pastor Dan Miller, of Celebration Community Church, officiating.  Following the memorial service, a celebration time of food and fellowship was held at the church.
