Lekwa Marsh is subject of DNR open house

(Above) The state is expected to begin a wetland restoration project on the 52-acre site located south of Clear Lake State Park this fall.  The land was formerly owned by Holmes and Jane Pedelty and leased to the Sherman family, which developed and operated Arrowhead Golf Course.  The state purchased the land in 2016.-Reporter photo by Marianne Gasaway.

Raymond Jordan

Raymond John “Joe” Jordan, 82, of Fertile, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019, at Lutheran Retirement Home, in Northwood.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Sept. 28, at Pilot Knob Lutheran Church, 2391 330th St., Forest City, with Rev. Robert Snitzer officiating. Burial was at Brush Point Cemetery, in Hanlontown.

Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.

Fans support Lions at home meet
