Amy Jean Boehm, 86, of Clear Lake passed away on July 22, 2019, at MercyOne Hospice of North Iowa.

Memorial services were conducted at Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake, on Friday, July 26, with Pastor Al Berge and the Rev. Barb McCaulley officiating. Inurnment was at the Good Hope Lutheran Cemetery, in Titonka.

  Family suggests memorial contributions to One Vision (Opportunity Village), Salvation Army, or Youth for Christ.

David Sharratt

David Sharratt, 76, of Wilmington, N.C., beloved father, pada, and brother, was called to his eternal resting place Wednesday, July 24, 2019.

He was a member of the First Christian Church where a memorial service will be conducted 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31. The family will see friends following the service.

His final resting place will be with his son, Mark, at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors.

He entered this world on April 2, 1943, in Clear Lake, born to the late Rolland and Irma Sharratt.

Couple charged with child endangerment

A Clear Lake couple has been charged with child endangerment as a result of alleged incidents at their unregistered daycare.

Kyle McLaughlin, 55, has been charged with two counts of child endangerment while 57-year-old Peggy McLaughlin is facing one count of child endangerment.  Both McLaughlins were arrested late last week and have posted $5,000 cash bond. They are both scheduled to make their initial court appearance today (Wednesday, July 31).
