Carol Lenore (Frenz) Meier, 89, died on Aug. 10, 2019, at Faith Lutheran Home, in Osage.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on  Monday, Aug. 19, at Zion Lutheran Church, 112 N 4th St, Clear Lake.

Family will be greeting guests one hour prior to the service at Zion Lutheran Church.

Glenyce I. Abrahams

Glenyce I. Abrahams, 85, of Doniphan, Mo., departed this life on Aug. 3, 2019, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Glenyce was born Oct. 25, 1933, in Britt, Iowa, to the late Glen E. and Evelyn Marie Benson, Whitehurst.

On Aug. 15, 1953. Glenyce married Donald Dethlefs who preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 1998. She married Vernon Abrahams on Aug. 13, 1999. He survives.

Oak Hills holds Junior Open Tourney

Oak Hills Golf Course, in Clear Lake, held their Junior Open on Tuesday, Aug. 6.  Thirty-one young golfers participated in the tournament.

“We want to thank everyone for playing their best. We’d also like to thank the parents who helped with scoring,” said Sheila Sherman, of Oak Hills Golf Course.  “A huge thank you to Kim and Sue Pleggenkuhle for their continued support.”
