Charles “Granny” Romaine Grandon, 84, of Manly, Iowa, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2015 at his home.

Memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manly, with the Rev. Neil Manternach officiating.  Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.  Inurnment will be at a later date.   Family will greet friends one hour before the service at the church.

Jill A. Jordan, age 51, of Clear Lake, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, at her home.

Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015, at Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home - Olson Chapel in Nashua, Iowa, with Pastor Randy Vaage presiding. Inurnment will take place at a later date.

Jill Ann Jordan passed away at her home, with her beloved dog, Eli, by her side on or before Sept. 22, 2015.

Dale Steven Sargent, 76, of 27 Lido Rd., Clear Lake, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, in Clear Lake.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, at United Methodist Church, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Dr. Jacqueline Thompson officiating. Family will greet friends one hour before the service at the church.  A private burial will be held at Clear Lake Cemetery.

Maydell Matilda Crawford was reunited with her partner in crime, Paul Rucker, on Sept. 12, 2015, after 39 years of being apart.  She was born on April 29, 1925, in Mason City, Iowa, the daughter of Sam and Fleeta Crawford.  She was blessed with three older brothers John, Ken and Bob. She said at times it felt more like a curse than a blessing being the youngest and the only girl.  Maydell was a depression era child and from this experience derived a great deal of her strength which her family came to rely on in difficult times.
