After a weather delay to start the season, the Clear Lake girls soccer team finally got to take the field Tuesday, April 5, against CAL.  The Lions made it worth the wait and dominated, 10-0.

Boys golf team competes on toughest course in Iowa

The Clear Lake boys golf team faced the challenge of Iowa’s infamous Bos Landen golf course combined with some of the state’s best teams competing at the Dutch Master at Pella last week.

On day one the Lions played Bos Landen, which Coach Eric Perry calls “the toughest course you can play in the state of Iowa.”

“We had a freshman, four sophomores and a senior on the course for the first time in their career,” explained Perry.

Clear Lake played Mason City High School and New Hampton on Monday night, April 11, for their first meet of the year. The Lions finished with a 185 to win the meet by three strokes over New Hampton.

Meghan DeLong was the medalist with a 42.  Her sister, Becca, finished in third place with a 44.  The last two counting scores for Clear Lake were Jaden Ainley, 49, and Lily James with a 50.
