Clear Lake shut out Charles City, 10-0, in the first soccer match of the season.

Travaughn Luyobya and Kinnick Clabaugh scored three goals apiece to lead the Lions Tuesday, April 5.

CL tennis team opens against strong Mason City team

The Clear Lake boys tennis team opened the 2022 year against ninth ranked (2A) Mason City.  Clear Lake lost the match 9-0 to a very deep Mason City team.

Relay teams lead boys track

Clear Lake’s relay teams ran strong at the Decorah Boys Early Bird held on Monday, April 4.  The relay performances helped the Lions to capture a fourth place finish at the meet with 59 points.  Mason City won the meet with 173 points, followed by Decorah and Waukon with 119 and 118 respectively.  Six teams competed at the meet.

A barn and two sheds were a complete loss after a controlled burn got out of control Monday afternoon south of Ventura.
